1. Confirm the selling account and reuse its saved session
Start with the TikTok account that will present the products. TKLive first tries its saved TikTok login session; opening Products does not always require a second sign-in. Select Connect TikTok Shop only if the client requests authorization or the session needs renewal. In the official workspace, check the account name and region before granting access.
- A TikTok login session does not create selling permission. Seller linkage, creator eligibility, product review and regional availability still apply.
- For an official shop account, confirm its link in Seller Center → My account → Settings → Linked TikTok Accounts. Creator or marketing accounts may have a different product scope.
2. Identify which of the three product lists you can see
While offline, the client can show products prepared in the official LIVE workspace and a separate set of Showcase candidates. Candidates have not been added to that workspace. Once Shop confirms this LIVE room, refresh to read products belonging to the current broadcast. These states must not be treated as interchangeable.
- Products appearing before LIVE can be useful for preparation without proving a live room is active.
- A partial Showcase result is only a preview. Open the official workspace to inspect the full list.
| List | Meaning | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Prepared workspace products | Selected in the official LIVE workspace before the room is confirmed | Check order and details; refresh after LIVE confirmation |
| Showcase candidates | Available candidates not yet added to that workspace | Add in the official workspace, then refresh |
| Products in this LIVE | Products returned for the confirmed current room | Confirm eligibility and pin status before pinning or rotation |
3. Add and order products before the show
Open the official product workspace, add approved products and arrange them in presentation order using the controls available to that account. Check the image, variant, price, stock and shipping information. Return to TKLive and use Added products? Refresh. A shop listing alone does not add the item to every LIVE.
- Build a short run sheet with the exact product ID and variant, including a substitute for unavailable stock.
- If the prepared list is empty, add items in the official workspace. If its status is unknown, check the workspace or refresh later rather than treating it as an empty catalog.
4. Pin one item only after Shop confirms the current LIVE
Once broadcasting, make sure TikTok Shop has identified the correct current room. Refresh products and wait for the pin status to be known. Select an eligible product from Products in this LIVE; a Showcase-only candidate, sold-out item or item with unknown eligibility cannot be used as a substitute. Pin the item currently being presented and confirm its card from a viewer device.
- Verify account and room again after creating or changing a LIVE session.
- An accepted action is not audience proof: check that viewers see the correct item, variant and price.
5. Choose a fixed item or a 2–20-product rotation
Automatic pinning supports one selected product or a sequence of 2–20 eligible products from the current LIVE. Choose Rotate products, select items and use the arrows to set their order. Set a whole-number interval of 30–3600 seconds; the default is 60 seconds. Start only when room identity, product eligibility, current pin and automatic-task status are confirmed.
- This rotates the pinned card in your chosen sequence; it does not automatically reorder the official product bag.
- Keep the rotation aligned with what is actually being presented. Stop automatic pinning before changing the sequence or interval, and check completed runs and Next product.
6. Know when the automatic task keeps running or stops
Switching app menus or closing the Live Panel does not stop this LIVE’s automatic task. Selecting Stop, ending LIVE, signing out or closing the Shop window ends it. The task does not resume after restarting the app. A manual pin or unpin first stops automatic pinning so the two controls do not compete.
- To take over manually, pin the intended item and verify that the automatic task has stopped.
- If a start or stop result is unconfirmed, do not repeatedly start tasks. Select Stop, refresh products and confirm the state before retrying.
7. Troubleshoot the exact state, not just “no products”
Authorization required means the saved session was tried but needs official access. An account mismatch means the official window is signed into a different TikTok account. A changed room requires selecting the current room and refreshing. Prepared products without a confirmed room are a preparation state, not a pinning failure. If the official workspace itself lacks the item, resolve permissions, review or inventory there first.
- Record the account and room, product ID, client version, time and exact state shown, without login credentials.
- If the manager does not open, follow the client guidance for Chrome, the account proxy or its saved login before investigating product availability.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Start here for common questions about purchasing, access and system requirements.
Can I see products in TKLive without starting a LIVE?
Yes, when the saved authorized session and official workspace provide them. Prepared workspace products and Showcase candidates can appear before LIVE. Pinning or rotation still requires TikTok Shop to confirm the current room.
Do I have to sign into TikTok Shop again every time?
Not necessarily. The client first reuses the selected account’s saved TikTok session. Complete official authorization only when requested; a saved session does not grant missing Shop eligibility.
Is rotation the same as sorting the shopping bag?
No. Sort the product list in the official workspace. TKLive rotation changes which of 2–20 selected current-LIVE products is pinned in your chosen sequence.
Will closing the Live Panel stop automatic pinning?
No. Stop it explicitly when needed. Ending LIVE, signing out or closing the Shop window also ends the task, and it will not resume after an app restart.
