TIKTOK LIVE GUIDE · 2026

Build TikTok OBS settings from a stable baseline

The best settings are the ones that match the current account route, content, hardware and upload connection. Use a simple scene and measured test before adding quality or complexity.

01

Set the canvas for the intended viewing format

Choose portrait or landscape before arranging sources. Make subjects and text readable in the mobile preview and avoid stretching media to fit a different aspect ratio.

  • Confirm base and output resolution.
  • Preview important text at phone size.
02

Choose an encoder and output the computer can sustain

Hardware encoding can reduce CPU pressure, while frame rate, resolution and scene effects still increase total load. Use CBR and the keyframe interval required by the current endpoint.

  • Start with 30 fps when motion does not require 60 fps.
  • Monitor encoder overload during the real scene.
03

Test video and audio together

Meters do not prove the audience receives correct sound. Run a short end-to-end test, listen for duplicate capture or feedback, and confirm the active account and key.

  • Check microphone and media tracks separately.
  • Save a known working OBS profile.
