VERTICAL LIVE · 2026

Build a TikTok portrait OBS scene for the phone screen first

A vertical canvas is only the starting point. The subject, text, media and interaction areas must remain readable in the viewer’s mobile layout.

01

Choose the viewing format before arranging sources

Confirm that the target LIVE route supports the intended portrait workflow, then choose a 9:16 base and output that the computer can sustain. Do not stretch landscape media to fill the frame.

  • Keep the subject inside a central safe area.
  • Crop or reframe media while preserving its aspect ratio.
02

Design for mobile discovery and interaction

Preview headings, prices and calls to action at phone size. Leave space for platform interface elements, and avoid placing essential text at the extreme edges or behind interaction overlays.

  • Use fewer, larger text elements.
  • Check subtitles against bright and dark scenes.
03

Validate the audience-side output

Run a short test with the real scene, audio and motion. Compare the OBS preview with the viewer result and recheck every instance after replacing media or changing resolution.

  • Inspect video, sound and synchronization together.
  • Save the validated profile and scene collection.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Start here for common questions about purchasing, access and system requirements.

Is 1080×1920 required for every TikTok LIVE?

No. Use a portrait resolution that the current route, hardware and connection can sustain.

Can I place a landscape video in a portrait scene?

Yes, but crop or frame it deliberately; stretching changes the picture and important content may become unreadable.
