TIKTOK LIVE GUIDE · 2026

Prepare prerecorded media for TikTok LIVE without losing control of the broadcast

OBS can place media files inside a scene, but file playback alone does not establish platform permission or content rights. Prepare the media and the monitored LIVE workflow together.

01

Verify rights and presentation

Use files you own or are licensed to broadcast. Check whether the presentation could mislead viewers about what is happening in real time and provide clear context where needed.

  • Keep source and license records.
  • Remove expired offers and inaccurate claims.
02

Test the entire media file

Inspect the beginning, transitions, audio level and ending. Match the scene to portrait or landscape output and create a fallback scene for a missing or finished file.

  • Avoid a black frame at the end.
  • Check subtitle readability on a phone.
03

Monitor the live result

Preview before going live, then watch the audience-side video, sound and session health. Keep an operator able to respond or stop the stream.

  • Do not rely only on the OBS preview.
  • Recheck after replacing a media file.
